For more than 50 years, the Educational Opportunity Program at Sonoma State University has provided historically low-income and/or educationally disadvantaged students with the support and resources necessary to succeed in college and break the cycle of poverty.
All of our students are first-generation college students and many of them are the first in their families to attend college. Our EOP students are resilient, change-makers in our communities, and exceptional role models of success to youth from low-income communities.
